Sometimes it is easier to upload the full size one to photobucket and hot link it.

Looks like a nice GOLD COIN!!!

The trick I use is to Email the picture to myself in the higher format. It asks me what size I want to send and I choose medium. Save the picture when you get it and you are ready to post a good sized picture.

We need better pics and details please!!!!! :clapping:

Damn! :yikes:

I will be waiting for a higher rez photo for my inspiration folder. While you're working on that how about weaving a tale for us to read. ??

I have to get some new pictures of the silver and v nickles. I have a post on page 16 about dry loose dirt and not getting much depth. It is starting to rain a little here in no cal and the hope is moisture will help with more finds ! To date the count of coins we have found Is,2 barber .50 2 barber .25 7 barber dimes 1 seated .10 20 v nickles 1 buffalow nickle 3 indian head 3 wheats and 1 libertyhead five dollar !

This site I'v been hunting was found using pure dumb luck!! No research at all! But it has led me to look into it''s past. It turns out to be a picknic grove that was used from maybe 1880 to 1921? All of the coins found have been within those years. This grove is about five acres of oak trees and for weed control they disc it every year, for how long they have been doing this I have no idea, but I have been told several years at least. It seems that when autos came on the scene this grove was used less for picknicks and more for hunting dove, I think. Lots of shotgun shells but no pulltops, bottle tops and almost no newer coins! Most of all coins were within three inches or less ! There is a lot of large iron farming junk buried all through the area so thismakes it tough to find coins that are unmasked and not on edge! We got some much needed rain so now there is some moisture in the ground , but of course , now the weeds are growing and the leaves are falling and I may just wait untill they disc it again Myself and a friend have found around 40 coins all 1880 to 1921 What is strange is 22 are V nickles. and only 3 indian heads Of course the best coin I have found was the 1886 five dollar gold!! This is getting long, still working on trying to get better pictures

I'm envious - take me with you!!! :detecting::laugh:
