These pictures are the same ones as a compadre listed on ebay that currently has several bids. Is this the same metal detector or is someone else using your pictures?

Hmm, how can a person sell a detector on the bay and on the forum. I know on some of the forums this is a big no no.

i also have them for sale in the local paper and on craigs list....i didnt realize when a a person sold a item he had to choose one place to list it....maybe i have 2 of them for sale...and before you go posting things like that, making me look like a criminal..you should PM me and ask...

There are 13 bids on your macine on Ebay.... What you gonna do end your auction if someone says they will buy it? What about the folks who are bidding on it. Ebay is an auction site, highest bidder wins..... You can't pull it because you may not like the amount it brings. You are misrepresenting the item on Ebay.........

If you are talking to me I in no way meant to make you out as a criminal. I know that one of the forums that a person can get banned for trying to sell a detector that is listed on eBay. I didn't give it a thought that you might have more than one for sale and I apologize for that. I was just wondering how a person could put a detector on eBay and on the forums at the same time because if there was a bid on the detector there you can't remove the eBay listing (as far as I know) in order to let it go on a forum. Once again, I apologize as many like myself only have one detector for sale at a time especially of the same brand/model (unless we are a dealer). BTW thats a nice looking Compadre @ a good price (I can attest to how good a Compadre is). Steve.

it's great to see your all so interested in this machine...sorry its sold.. to one of your friends on this forum.. lets see how long we can keep this going

CDDZ.......I have a compadre for sale on finds forum.thats it..get your facts straight..and mind your own bizzzzzzzzz

Mind my own business, it is my business. I placed a bid on that same compadre you have listed on here..... You admitted it was the same detector that is on Ebay. I find it unlikely you have two of them the same age and you bought for your kid and described it the same way on both listings......

same pictures jack!!!
So what pictures are accurate? You don't get the point here. One way or the other you are misrepresenting the item you have for sale. It is like me taking pictures of my truck for sale, then getting in a wreck and using the pre accident pictures to sell it.

page 2..alright..the detectors are identical..thers no way of telling them apart from my pictures.i have 4 compadre's..2 modded and 2 factory stock..well...three now...so just go to bed...

Maybe not as unlikely as you would think. Here are 2 listed on another site for sale. Look pretty identical to me.

For what's worth. Is it possible to have more than one of the same detectors for sale, yes, been there and done that. Why would anyone sell one on a forum and one on E-bay?? Because you can only sell one on the forum. The forum has no sellers fee and E-bay does. That may be the very reason the seller didn't sell both on E-bay, I know I wouldn't. Last month alone, between listing, selling and Paypal fees, it cost 16% of my sales.

Ok here's my take on this. What throws up a red flag is the identical wording of buying for the kid, and he only used it for two hours. No wonder he gave it up, swing two detectors at the same time takes a lot of coordination. What silverskidmarks, in my opinion, should have done if he had two detectors for sale:

One, totally different photos
Two, not to word it the same way (or not even explain why he was selling it), he may have gotten two for the "kid" but I doubt it.

If the photos were different and the wording was different, no one would have ever connected the two together and everything would have been just fine. If you look at his E-bay feedback, he has sold a few detectors on E-bay with positive feedback. But..... before you lynch him for being a dealer, this has been over the last 5-6 years. heck, I've sold more detectors in the last six month than he has sold in all that time, and unfortunately, I'm not a dealer either.

Just my opinion,
Ron

This could have all been avoided if the seller had of just answered the origjnal question by saying; no it is not the same one as on ebay, they are different machines. Instead the question was answered; same one. What else was a person to think other than it was the same one as on ebay.
