Sun. night into Mon. we finally got some much needed rain. 2-4" depending on the location. Consequently, Tabman, Chris and I headed out early this morning to hit a big field again. Just as we were getting started a huge mower mowed the field and as a result we had easy swinging and inched out a bit more depth. Right off, Chris raised the bar and dug a nice 62 Washington qtr. It took me an hour and a half before I finally dug a wheat cent. A few minutes later I got 2 more and then a silver dime, a 46 Rosie. I knew I had dug an interesting button along the way, but it took a little cleaning when I got home to see what it was. It says, "National summer time award Cub scouting." Nothing special, but fun to find. It hit in the nickel range. Swinging the Omega with 11dd coil, sen. 99, disc. 1, d4 tones and g b of 55-57. HH jim tn
