dollar coins. I guess I should be more careful when separating my coin finds. I decided to go through my coins looking for anything that might be of value. While examining my quarter finds, I noticed 2 coins that were a bit larger than the others. Upon closer examination, I discovered they were $1 coins. One was a 2009 P Sacagawea and the other was a 2011 D James Garfield. As can be seen in their photos, both were pretty worn. I guess this is a lesson learned by me to be more careful when sorting my coin finds.

It is nice to find one of those dollar coins. Especially when you realize that it a dollar and not a quarter. I have 29 of them that I need to take to the credit union and run thru the coin counter as I doubt that most cashiers would have any idea that they are real.
