Hello everyone. I was hoping someone could give me some advice on what to with my latest find. I dug up a lock plate yesterday afternoon next to the Wilderness battlefield. It's rusted to high heaven and I though i would try electrolysis on it to clean it up a bit. The question is though, is there any brass or other material besides iron on it that might desintegrate if I put it in the bath? I appreciate any help or advice you have.
