But...i have read that units are being returned, however I'm not sure if these are new units or upgraded units with the November software DATE. Or are there problems with both the new machines and updated machines. What have you guys that have bought new units experienced? What has the upgrade experience been like? Thanks, I am really looking forward picking up a new unit when I can feel comfortable knowing that I will receive a unit that I will not have to return or be stuck with a unit that is sub par from other units going out there.

I got my F75LTD Upgraded in November, it has the 11-14 serial number and I have had zero problems with it. All I can say is that it is Red Hot, Super Deep, and Quiet. Don't let a couple of negative posts keep you from a great detector.

I bought a new unit ..it is 11/14 as well..quiet and deep also..the only thing is the weird pinpoint sound in one of the 2 tones which i dont use anyways..i'm happy with mine..
 
Nailed-it, I am looking hard at them as well. Had two over the years and have regretted letting one or the other go. However, they were quite noisy, but found al lot of good deep stuff, non the less. From what I am seeing, the 12/14 date issued ones are fine and seem to be HOT. Good luck! HH jim tn
 
I actually bought 2 of them. One is the 11/14 and one is the 12/14. I can see no difference in either of them. I can crank the sensitivity of both to 90 and even 99 sensitivity with little to no emi. They are DEEP and super fast, especially in FA. Wish I hadn't bought two, but I'm glad I was able to compare for myself.

Mine was 11-14 serial/software. There were more than just a "couple" negative posts about problems from different people. Most of the seasoned F75 hunters that got the upgrade have sent their units back in or are going to. They just aren't quite right. Quiet...yes...but most with the 11-14 software have reported several inches difference between their units and others. Mine was that way...around 4 inches different than a non upgraded Ltd unit and had a few other quirks as well. Mine is on its way back now.

Daniel, so did you ask for the 12/14 serial/software for your upgrade from FTP or do they just get to choose the latest version to upload? I'm getting an 11/14 upgraded unit and I'm wondering what problems to look for. Thanks,
