The Finds Treasure Forum Classifieds is for individual use only with the exception of banner advertising buyers. Those buyers may advertise their traded in, discontinued models, etc.

Individual sellers may post their normal unwanted detectors, or accessories in assigned classified forums, but they  cannot exceed (1) one item in a (3) three month period for each classified forum.

Only For Sale, For Trade, or Wanted to Buy ads are allowed.

Only Forum Members Registered for  90 days or longer that have more than 24 significant posts in our other forums, may post For Sale or Trade ads.

Rules for Non Sponsoring Sellers:

  • Items for sale, or for trade, should be your own personal property and be accurately described.
  • Your for sale or trade post should be self contained, without references to another site where you may also have it for sale.
  • Do not put links to eBay.
  • Do not put links to other forums where you may also have the same item for sale or trade.
  • Dealers are not allowed to post in Classifieds unless they are a sponsor.

I must say I haven't gotten much sleep since Sunday night and it is all Bart from Big Boys Hobbies fault. Every night after I go to bed I lay awake for a while and think about my new CTX 3030 I haven't even received it yet. Thursday is the big day and my UPS guy is going to be bigger then Santa on that day. I can't remember when I was this excited before. How many of you out there felt the same way? Did any of you lose any sleep in anticipation of receiving the 3030? Just am just sooooo excited!!!!!!

Thanks again, Bart for being patient and giving such a great deal!

You think you are not getting sleep now waiting on it to show up. When you get it you will be out detecting 24/7 Tomorrow is the big day good luck and HH :twodetecting::minelab::thumbup:

Thanks so much guys! I have been tracking the shipment everyday a few times a day. LOL. you know what is the worst part of all this is? I am going away Friday to Monster Mania convention in Cherry Hill New Jersey and can't use it at all this weekend. I am sure I won't be using it that much tomorrow after I get it, because of trying to figure it out and what not. How long did it take you guys to figure it out before you went out and hunted?

I received mine this afternoon from Bart, and believe me, it will be awhile before you or I get any real sleep. After getting it together, I have spent another couple of hours reading the manual and I have a long way to go before I feel comfortable enough to start really using it, but will attempt some tomorrow. I think that I am going to love it, although it is very different from the Whites detectors that I have used for years. I know that I will be dreaming about the different menus and settings all night. Mine arrived in 2 days, just like Bart said. Hope yours shows up on time and in good shape also. I will definitely do what you suggest AJ! You have taught me a lot of different things so your advice is very important.

Dadzjunk - what was the deciding factor for choosing the CTX?
 
I got my detector turned it on put it in the coin program and went to the old school foot ball field and started digging clad to learn the sound and number and this was the first time I have ever used Minelab. :twodetecting::minelab::cheers:
 
That's a great idea, Tim. I guess there is no better way to learn then hands on training.
 
I go to Florida for the winters and had decided to get a Minelab Excal II for the water and when reading the forums about them, I saw that they were coming out with the CTX 3030 that could be used in the water and on land and after following this forum and listening to what Digger and others on here were saying and the good reviews, I decided to go for it. I hope that it turns out to be a smart move on my part, but time will tell. I am getting up in age and my memory is what it use to be, so I hope this is something that I can master in good time.
 
That is how I chose to get mine, just reading posts and reviews. Seems that this machine is way beyond all other detectors in technology. I am pretty sure we made a great choice!

Status on delivery: out on delivery since 7:05am. Been sitting here waiting since. Barely slept last night also. UGH!!! Just get here already!,
 
You're getting a really great machine. You will be surprised just how good it does even when hunting in junk piles with the 11" coil.
 
You will be pleased to say the least. Set it on coin mode target trace and target trace pin-point combined audio and get ready to dig. I have tried many different settings but those I mentioned along with Auto+3 worked very well when I first got mine. I have made some changes since and there are some good programs you can download. Just turn it on and hunt. It won't be long before you find what works in your ground. Good luck and congratulations on your new machine. HH :minelab:
 
These posts are sounding like a cheap infomercial for Bart! C'mon folks let's give it a rest here or I'll start having to add some plugs for Lara at Detector Depot with her spectacular double-Ds (I mean the coils of course!! :rofl:). All forum sponsosr deserve the same coverage and so the way I see it I'm short about ten or so posts just to keep things honest for my favorite (and by far the most beautiful) detector dealer! :lmfao:

I believe my enthusiasm towards getting a new metal detector and one of this caliber is more then expected. Going from an ace 250 to probably one of the best detectors ever made sorta makes a person feel pretty good and excited, and thankful to the person who sold it to them. Your more then welcome to talk about your salesperson in however way you like. I am going to thank mine as will the many others who have bought from him. Thanks Bart!

Now back to the unboxing of the CTX!! This thing is sick looking! Simple to assemble but not so simple to figure out right away coming from an Ace250. I only got to get out in the yard and only found trash but hey I am not upset. I am hoping to do some hunting in the AM before I go away for the weekend. Thanks to all for the support and help.
