Loud signal, NO VDI reading

I have had very deep silver do this, a 1943 silver dime at 8" deep gave no reading from any angle but sounded good. No reading at all. Now it wasn't a extra super loud signal but a good constant signal. Very loud signals and where you can raise the coil 8 to 10 " off the ground and still hear a signal is usually large iron or a can.

The only time that has happened to me, I had the wrong coil. Headphone were giving a good sound but the controller was flashing No Coil detected. Hey, once in 4 years, I'll fess up to it.
