We all have favorite places to hunt. Mine is a town park in SE Nebraska. I have started gridding this park off since the finds were becoming few. This time I decided to work the far SE portion of this park. With the 8X6 SEF coil I go real slow. Go a crazy 12-26, 11-27 signal that was repeatable two ways. Dug down 4" and got a rusted sardines can key. I knew that wasn't the culprit so I re-checked the hole and came up with a 1929 wheat. Checked the hole again and got a solid 4-29. Out popped a 1940 merc. I always dig any signal no matter the number if it hits from 2 directions. Also found a 1941 merc next to a tree lying on the ground. Broke my record. Now have 73 silver on the year, pushing for 100.
