Low Battery Issues (?)

I was on fumes last night ( E Trac was too) , and noticed that it seemed kind of erratic. Has anyone else noticed unstable readings etc when the battery is on its last legs? Thanks
 
If it is the rechargable pack then run it all the way down. The screen should say flat battery shutdown. Put in the alkaline pack and do a complete charge. If it is the alkaline pack do like utahshovelhead suggested. HH :minelab:
 
My SE used to beep a couple of time before it went dead. My E-trac just plays a short "run down" scale on some notes and shuts off. No warning like on the SE when the battery is done.
