Lowrance iWay 500C

After having a problem right out of the new box, Lowrance over nighted me a new unit, and I have used it for over 1,000 miles including a 700 mile trip. I have yet to see a routing bug so far. I like the unit because it is extremely easy to see with the larger screen in all types of light, and can be easily adjusted for varying light situations. Overall, I would rate it on a scale of 1-10 about 7.5. Remember I am a novice and do not have any prior experience with Garmin (seems to be everybody's standard), or Magellan.
It is slow to respond sometimes to particular commands, but once it locates your position it does really well. Super fast response to any off route positions, generally routes very good to new addresses and allows for detouring to other positions at any time during your trip. Nice screen setup and shows all the way points along the route if that option is chosen. I am happy with my choice and it is nice to know that Lowrance will support it's customers. They answered my e-mails and they were helpful via their help line. They also told me there was not a routing bug they knew of and if there was they would move immediately to fix the problem.
