LRP LRP LRP...no love for the QD PRO?

I love me some LRP....but not sure of anything that performs like the QDP does for $200. True Frat Bros 7.7khz machine...that is for sure.

The QDP is a sleeper. I use mine from time to time with the concentric when I am not using my LRP. Both machines are superior FT Products or they would not have been rebranded Technetics (Digitek, Liberator). In my mild soil, the QDP shines. The LRP, QDP and LSP are not as much Bounty Hunters as they are innovative First Texas detectors from engineers Jorge and Yang. Even the F22/F44 shows that this offering from these two are changing Bounty Hunter, Fisher and Teknetics mid range detectors as dollar for dollar best performance machines.

(This leaves Dave J to concentrate on the higher end and gold offerings)

I own a BH LRP for over a year now and have been using it extensively. The results are satisfactory for a metal detector that is under $300. It is a good machine with many bells and whistles. Most of my finds are no more than 6 inches. I am thinking about getting a 13" coil which may give me an extra 2 inches in depth. But there are no manufacturers out there that make 13" coils for BH LRP. I was told that Cors Strike is compatible with BHLRP with an adapter. Has anyone on this forum owned a LRP and is able to use 13" coil, please let me know.

Ebay sells adapters...just type in "Cors coil adapter" in the search bar. Any Nel or Cors coil for a Greek series detector will work perfectly. Also any G2+..F19...Gold Bug Pro coil.

I have not tried a 13 inch coil...but I have made my own adapters and they work perfect to make the screw on coils compatible with the LRP.

My QDP is the first machine I ever bought and I love it. its response time is incredible. ID accuracy, when it says its a dime, you can bet its a dime. I have dug targets up to 9" with this thing
what a Lincoln penny is doing at nine inches is beyond me but I love it. It's light, it will run 25 hours on one 9 volt. great machine.
My buddy with a whites XT sport found a target and I checked it and we got the same results. this machine is under rated. just because its a 200 buck machine. it has 600 buck technology in it.

another member told me that a mars discovery 13" dd coil is compatible with the QDP with the appropriate Cors plug adapter of course.
