What does everyone use for LTD sensitivity when hunting in an area full of iron (IE. 1860's house site in a farm field) for maximum separation WITH depth? It would seem at some point you're "over detecting" the iron and detecting beyond the edges coil therefore losing good targets.
This weekend will be my first time trying the LTD in that type of hunting. I have been using my Explorer but because of the lengthy nulls, it's not unusual to see a coin on the surface and not be able to detect it - but its ALSO not unusual to wiggle into a small area and get a 6" dime or button. I'm hoping the LTD can get better separation with the same depth - logic says so, but my experience with the 75 is common sense doesn't always translate to reality.

Well, why would you go out and hunt without knowing what your coil is looking at and it don't make any difference if it is a DD or a concentric coil. Just some info for you guys that hunt the iron and trash like I have to because, all the good stuff is gone down here. Oh, and don't forget the LTD Is a terriable coin shooter. Yeah right.
