As some of you know, I haven't been swinging the LTD as much since getting an Omega 8000 last summer. Since back in Dec. I've been trading off between the two, more or less, to get re-acquainted with the LTD. I also have some spots that I feel a little more depth is needed and when such occasions come along, I use the F 75 LTD.
Anyway, was hunting a stretch of ground that the Boy Scouts have gathered on for many years and was also part of a Military base going back to the World War two era. I was swinging along in sen. 85, disc. 0, de mode and 3h tones using the 11" DD and got a good high tone, mid tone mix and a bouncy vid. The numbers, however, were a pretty consistent 29-31 and 69-72, so I decided to dig it. In the clod was a nickel and 2 silver Rosie dimes, a 51D and a 57. The 2 dimes were on one side of the clod and the nickel on the other. The nickel and 2 dimes were separated by about 3" or so. It is digs like that that continue to amaze me about some of the Tek and Fisher detectors. You all know what silver Rosies look like, so I'll not post a picture at this time. HH jim tn
