I won't say the LTD was "smoking," but it's been a while since I had a 3 silver outing and since my last Mn trip for a lovely lady facing right, a Barber coin. The Toasted jack knife came to light yesterday. Upon giving it a rinse, the innards completely fell out of. The Lock appears to be brass and kind of neat. I'll have to do a google to see if there is anything about it. It was about 4" deep, so suspect it had been in the ground a while. The stainless spoon was just under the leaves. My first older coin this morning was a wheatie. Up to that point, about two hours of hunting, I hadn't dug a coin. Got the wheat cent well off of a trail/path and decided to work that area as best as I could. As you woods hunters know, it isn't always easy to put your coil over every area of ground with all the brush and branches to deal with. Shortly after the wheatie I go one of the Mercury dimes. Maybe, 10' or so from where I dug the wheatie. Shortly there after I got the other Mercury dime and the other wheat cent. In between I got the lead bullet. The melted lead had come earlier. After working that area I headed back to the path and swinging along one side of the bath I got a nice high tone hit. That hit had a little depth to it and from about 6" I got the 03 Barber dime. That lovely lady puts me at 136 silver coins for the year. 11" coil. 90 sen, disc 0, 4h tones, B P mode and g b of 65. HH jim tn
