Magellan's new crossover gps

I was reading on gps magazine.com about the new crossover gps from Magellan, this sounds like a unit I could use for work and play. It only has 8 hours of battery life, but even when im prospecting my truck is nearby. I'm in the heating cooling business in southern California and NavTec mapping would be a great help in finding job sites. I like the big screen on the nuve 660, but it looks like it won't take topo maps. any thoughts would be helpful. thank you JT
