Manticore battery life.

I'm not out as much as I like but when I have the time, I like to make a day of it.

A recent hunt with my son and a friend lasted about 6 hrs. My battery was on it's last bar, where my partners were only one bar down (Legends).

I realize that the Manticore takes more power to run, but my D2 had a way better battery life than this.

That being said, how many of you use the rnb battery packs? Do they balance well on the detector? Are they waterproof?

Here's some found from my last hunt just for fun....

Yes, the MC battery leaves something to be desired, especially when running in ATHC. I have a backup battery available, but haven't used it yet...I generally run in All-Terrain General (as opposed to High Conductors), and the battery life is notably better (though still not what I wish it were).
