[sub]hi all..here is some encouragment for everyone..finds from the past few days..the heart pendant and class ring have all diamons..checked with my elec. tester[/sub]

Wow! They are beautiful. Can you give us some inside information about your Safari
settings and depth for these beautiful specimens?

Well.. I had been running my safari in shallow water in all metal with sensitivity set at 10. Found lots of rings that way...buy recently as ive moved out into deeper water...where the silt is more common. Ive set the sens. at 18,19. It burns through the silt better....where before ...the sens. setting at 10 would not......I do not cancel anything out.(no discrimination)

wayupnorth66,

I appreciate your information. How do you like the Safari? I'm thinking seriously
about buying one next month. I heard it's fairly easy to understand and there's
good discrimination between the coins, jewelry and junk items.

I'm just worried about Minelab's service and repair lately. A lot of our members are
unhappy about this situation.

I love the machine...its the best Ive owned....Ive had fisher, bounty hunter,white's...but this minelab has been my favorite. Its easy to run...but with every machine..there is some learning to do. AND..every company has there service issues. Its that kind of market with the gold prices at a high. Everyone and their brother is out searching for gold and they are in need of repair..no matter how old the machine's are.

Great finds. I love the eye ring, is that gold too?

I've thought about the Whites detectors, and their good machines, but they are too heavy
for me. The Garrett's 2500 looks good and so does the Fisher 75.
But many people have highly praised the Safari over the other two which basically
fall into the same price range.
With some machines, it's tough to find that Quarter beside the Iron. However, the Safari seems
to do a great job with that situation.
I wonder if the Safari can find Gold nuggets?

Great Finds regardless what machine you were using. BUT the Safari is an awsome machine. It's my favorite land machine also, HH :minelab:

Wow, that's great news. Again, I thank you for the information. Always keep us posted with your latest finds
and information that will help us with our Safari's. Happy hunting.

this morning find.........it was alittle exciting....but the jewler says no go on diamonds :( and my tester at home verified it also .... i thought it might be real..because i found it in an area where sombody said a diamond ring was lost

wayupnorth66,

Wow! Another exciting find. If I may ask, what part of the Country do you
live. You sure make some beautiful finds. Congratulations.

Hi...I use the stock coil.......I hunt mostly the north country lakes of Wis and Mich. These arnt no DAYTONA beach's....lol Its slim pickings up here. here is the typical beach that i hunt. On the day i took this pic. I did find a nice ring. The pic is from this spring. I have owned the safari for 3 months

Well, you got the best of the slim pickings. You are doing great with your finds. I live in
Coeur D' Alene, Idaho where there are many lake beaches and hopefully my future Safari will
tap some jewelry from the beaches.

Below is a photo of Coeur D' Alene.

Im sure you will do well....I find most of my things in shallow water.......but i haven't really concentrated on the dry sand part of the beaches. it seems when you lease expect a ring to be in your hole....that's when its there. just don't get "pull tab discouragement".....or you will never find the treasures. :)

Hi. very nice finds. I have also used my Safari in water, but now i'm using the Excalibur, that maschine is worth the money.

Have a nice day. Jens.
