Found this stamped quarter today with a point of origin. Any one know the meaning of the location?
 
Ya weird. Stands for United States Army medical research institute for infectious disease! Not sure why they would stamp a quarter but that's what those intitals should stand for. Interesting find there
 
It could have come from their testing labs. During a recent breakout of some disease, the quarter is what started the spread of the disease. Why they would stamp it on the quarter is weird.
 
Thanks for the replies! I may go soak it in some sanitizer solution. :surprised: They may be the source of the problem.
 
They (" USAMRIID") have a web site that has a contact link. You might just ask them; Maybe theyre studying how far or by route a coin or currency travels, you can see how they might interested in that and the spread of things from person to person etc. Kind of like a bird band, theyre looking for where its been , where it ended up? etc CO
