Master Reset

How many of you have done a master reset for one reason or another and do you feel it cleaned up any irregularities your machine may have had. Mine has really been acting slow and not like it was when i first got it, and I feel a master reset may rejuvenate it back to operating the way it should. Since I don't have very many modes and patterns to replace, I'm going to give it a try. What do you think??

I did a Master reset before and it's no big deal. I say that in terms of you have nothing to worry about messing things up. You will loose any patterns you saved but they are easy to recreate or upload again.

A master reset is about the same a rebooting your computer. Anything you were working on may be lost, but you clear out the memory and start with a clean slate.

If you think something is acting fishy, a master reset would be a good start. You are basically going back to the factory defaults as the day you bought it. If it is still not acting right, you may want to call for warranty repair.

Now that I am very familiar with the machine I would have no problem doing a master reset again. I know what I like and how to put it back if I need to.

Good luck. I hope it works for you.

Herb,
Have you tried a normal reset where you just hold the on button down for 3 seconds? Mine was acting funny in regards to the visual ID numbers being slow to change and not appearing at all. The regular reset helped mine, It might be worth a try before doing a master reset. We haven't had any rain here in North Texas, where I live in so long I forgot what is was like. I wonder if the extremely dry ground affects the detector to some degree. If you do the master reset let me know how it works. -- Thanks Randy
