Some other things I've figured out* have helped but your suggestion on the Threshold Tone (TT) was just the ticket. Hit what I knew was a quarter today and took the opportunity to play with the TT to get that quarter/silver tone to a pitch that wasn't in one of my hearing loss zones. Ended up setting it at 9. That puts everything a bit higher than I'd like but the quarter/silver tone just sings to me now. I haven't read through the manual in quite a while but I don't recall it mentioning that the TT also adjusts target pitch and I've not seen it mentioned elsewhere either. That was extremely helpful. Ended up the day with another silver quarter, '53, that I managed to lose
here in the house somewhere and 7 or 8 wheats. Thank you!
Now if only the headphone manufacturers would add parametric EQs to their lines. (Though I'm wondering if I can find or build one.) Or manufacturers of the top-end detectors would add an EQ to their set-ups. It's easy to do in software.
*One of the other things was that that blippy sound I've come to associate with hot rocks isn't always so (but still is too much of the time).
