Met up with Guvner and Crowduck. Got 11 Silver...2 Injuns...a 1922 Dog License...and...

Always has been and always will be.
By the way....I just checked out your post. Congrats on that Monster seated silver:thumbup:

The one way hits are pretty much exactly how you described them back to me...but many times they don't repeat when you change the angle any at all.
It will be an initial sweet sound when the coil passes over...then passes back on the return sweep...but when you sweep from a different angle...it disappears.
Now don't get me wrong....most times this is IRON...and you should walk...but once your ears have heard the sound I'm describing...you will begin to take a chance on a few of them. It just sounds different from falsing...and I can't explain it. You just have to hear it.

Those kinds of spots are becoming my favorite. Anytime I stumble accross dense trash or scattered iron...I feel I have a chance to find something.
It's one of the few places that there might be a few more goodies hidin'.
One of these days I need to meet up with you and Kelly...so we can hunt in the rain again:beers:

..as everyone digs things they normally wouldn't trying to hear the silver sound difference... Some great finds will be made and some great iron recycling will happen from the guys who don't quite get it. :D

As long as I'm suggesting things I would suggest the following. If you meet up with 3 or 4 hunters have everyone put $5 or $10 in someones pocket as a prize. Then give whoever digs the most pulltabs in say 2 hours the money. If it's a well used park I bet someone finds a ring or better... And the money won't bother you if you didn't.

G...

PS. Of course "Wrongway" will be on here claiming full credit afterwards... :D

Bryce ,That pile of silver looks as good as it did at the park !!!!:clapping: Congrats on the silver and the IH s and Looking forward to the next hunt. If it don't stop raining we will need a boat to hunt !!!! I see the Guvner made it home and the old man didn't chase him down !!! I had a good time hunting with both of you .Gary is a great guy to hunt with.I am glad he knows how to take a little razzing ,Its all in fun. But he can dish it out too !!! Untill next time.

Those are great finds, I really like the car. the best car i have found was a tootsie dragster.

Hope that WOT picks up more goodies for you. I'm giving the SEF 10 by 12 a fair chance this summer. If I don't like it I'm sure you can buy it from me since your's will be worn out by this fall! LOL.

Man Bryce...
Another fantastic day  That WOT coil is a dandy... I pulled some silver and Indians with it the very first time out... I was directly under some power lines as well... all i did was lower the sensitivity a little... ground balance, and it performed very well.....

You said it very well man,,., You can definitely tell a difference in that coin on edge hitting over in the iron side if the screen, over a iron falsing any day.... I never let the screen decide to dig or not.... The only time i use it is when i am trying to judge the depth,,, or dig a crusty old nickel!!!! Very exciting hunt man!!!!! Keep it up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

that helps me out in the field. It's nice to have an arsenal for a change of pace whenever I need it. When finds slow down or stop at a site...I change a coil and try to drag a few more out.

I still glance at the screen sometimes...but only after I have already decided to dig or not to dig. I love to see the cursor fluttering accross the top of the screen after getting a sweet flutey hit:thumbup:
That sound and cursor action is saying only one thing.....DIG ME:bouncy:

the SEF coil AND the pro coil worn out by this summer. I've been switching back and forth between both and am having a blast.

next time we're in that area. Was that not hilarious having to explain to people walking into the restaurant...what was going on...and that Guvner was with us.:clapping:
The look and smile that one guy and his kids gave us was funny as heck.

As for razzing...and Guvner dishing it out too.....Heck he doesn't dish it...he SHOVELS it:bouncy:

It will take me til the end of time to even think about wiping that gloat off his face from a couple of weeks ago.:smoke:

One of these hunts...Guvner's gonna' wax me good on finds. I know when he does...and he will before long...that he will really let me have it:detecting:
