metal detecting log/spreadsheet

moonshine

New member
i find this (a metal detecting log) to be a very helpful and interesting tool for a couple different reasons. i made this simple basic template for downloading, for those that dont keep track of their hunts. if you start on it, i bet you will keep up with it.

https://spreadsheets.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0Alo3sXTFzNGldC04Mm9KbHBLNzZZaFF6NUotRzN6N0E&hl=en_US&authkey=CJLNkYoB

click the link above

under the google docs:

file
download as
excel

then it asks if you want to save it, "save as" and you can rename it and save it where you want on your computer.

you will have to clear out the sample things that ive written in the boxes. the areas highlighted in green are automatic, you dont need to adjust those. excel is fun! i can think of a couple other columns one could add right off the bat, such as hours spent detecting, wheat to silver ratio, etc....

if you have never used excel, this is a fun way to learn. you can play around with the text and background colors, make charts, summarize things, etc.
