Metal Detecting with the 5x10 SEF COIL, LIVE DIG

As the aforementioned hunting partner being smoked, I can attest, we have hunted several times since lookn4gold got his 10x5, for a total of an estimated 10 hours of hunting. During that time there have been locations that did not yield to me any wheats, while lookn4gold was digging them right and left. I actually swung on a target he had that ended up being a deep copper Lincoln which was weak and iffy on my machine, but hit solid with the 10x5.

I'm sticking with the 8x6 for now as I am so in tune with it the last few months I hate the thought of giving it up.

Now, I know who you are, lol. I topped off yesterdays hunt with 14 wheat's. Maybe it's just me, or do I see no difference between the 6x8 & the 5x10

Now if we can get that video showing the 5x10 hitting so much harder and deeper than the 6x8 on the same target with the same machine and with the same optomized settings , we might be on the way to an actual objective and credible comparison.

What do you mean by pinpointing is another mismatch? It doesn't pinpoint well??

It's a mismatch for the 6x8 against the 5x10. the 5x10 Pinpoints way better

not sure how any coil could pinpoint better than the 6x8, it is like a laser....for one I NEVER use the pinpoint button, the wiggle method is much faster, and much more accurate. I think the 6x8 pinpoints better than any coil I have used. Although I never have trouble with the larger coils either using the wiggle method.

I also use the wiggle method as well (Most of the time), as the Pinpoint due to the fact I'm using TTF most of the time. I've used the 6x8 for 2 years with great success, but I think the 5 inches help no doubt with the smaller width (something to keep in mind).

What I failed to realize (and that's my fault), is that not all shooters are on the same Level, like NOVICE's, etc. I can tell a difference (like you can tell the depth of a coin which others might not be able to using your settings). for the experienced shooter or novice, the 5x10 is a great coil, and better than the 6x8 IMHO. there's more out there now other than just the 6x8 now, that's all I was hoping to pass along, besides the the fact that I'm very impressed with it. good video, just got a chance to watch it, impressive coil. I am not ready to ditch my 6x8 yet though. I have dug 9" deep coins with it and am pretty sold on it's abilities in trashy areas
