Hi guys!

Found this meteorite look a like in the woods. It gives a really good signal on the X-terra 705 with the 10.5MF coil.Ring in at TID 32. Anybody out there to ID it,can it be a fallen star or just a metal clump piece.

Meteorites are usually dark and heavy for their size and magnetic if they are the common nickel iron type. If yours is lightweight and non magnetic, it could be melted aluminum. Meteorites will usually TID in the iron range since they are more iron than nickel.

I agree; it looks a LOT like a glob of melted aluminum.
Mike doesn't mention if it's heavy relative to it's size.

heavy as lead?

Have access to a diamond saw then cut a croos section. Image that and post....

Meteorites except for Chondrites are nickel based and magnetic.............
