wondering if someone can tell me if this is meteorite based on these pictures. I can get more if needed but would have to ask.

IMHO no. Looks like some type of metal. Possibly became vicious in a fire? Where was it found? Only sure way is to cut off a slice of it and look for the telltale signs, or take to an expert(planetary geologist).
 
From the photos my first thought is melted aluminum. Looks a lot like what you find under the front end of a good car fire when the radiator melts.
 
Everyone. I was looking into metal detecting yesterday to get a cheap one to learn on. Someone near me had this for sale. I just wanted to see if it were worth anything.


I did get a metal detector yesterday and made an exciting find jn my back yard already. Will be sharing seperatly
