Well-known member
Found at the site of two forts dating from the 1940's &1850's. Is this a civilian or military button?

By 1835 the firm was R & W Robinson. They lost most of their civilian button trade in the 1840's, due to a change in taste in civilian buttons. Bankrupt several years later. However their B/M appears on military buttons after 1851.
