Hi everybody...Just join the form. I'm new to metal detecting, was wonder if wide open screen is the best to metal detect on the Mine lab CTX 3030?
If it is, what mode should I use? Coin, Beach,Relic, Silver, or High Trash? Will be detecting at a park this weekend with a group of folks. Still learning the hobby. Th's for any and all advice..

Why not try one of the stock programs as a beginner? If you are going to hunt a park, the coin and silver modes would be good starters. If you hunt in all metal, you might be overwhelmed by the multitude of sounds! Good luck!

OK Solo....where are you? Are you JUST looking for coins? How did you wind up with a CTX as your first detector? It’s just a lot to start out with...but it can and has been done!
