Those of u that saw it saw it.

Who took a screenshot ???

That was fast action by Minelab...

I should have saved it as PDF file. I did get to see it though. L look through my cache or google's cache. L try to figure something out

I saw it too and read it thoroughly...very interesting stuff...but it has already been "leaked" so what's the secret now?...I guess they want to keep the sales of the SE Pro and Pro coils going until the unveiling after August 29th...now do you really wonder if Minelab isn't watching/looking anymore?...makes me wonder if you have to be careful when you post how good a rep was to you since they might have done a bit too much for you(been a little too helpful or generous with their customer service) beyond corporate policy...which can lead to their demise? The same could be said for some super finds out there-better left to yourself :)

funny thing is too that I emailed their Australian branch about this new model a couple days ago, no reply yet. heehee

It is supposed to work on all previous coils.

Its an Explorer allright even if the name Explorer is missing.

I know one thing. If I just bought an SE without knowing about this one and then 5-6 days later I could've bought this one instead my coil would be in overload.

but that's OK since I got a super deal on it and I just wanted to give it a trial with the new coil plus the new E-trac machine has to prove itself as better anyway...I 'm sure the new one is super pricey too such that many wives would rather have you use that money for something else...could increase the divorce rate worldwide...could just also be an Xterra 90 too :) but it apparently has most all Explorer features and then some in a long awaited lighter more ergonomic package...I guess you have to do it after all the Fisher F machines have arrived to compete in the ergonomics department at least -with I'm sure Minelab build quality and customer service-not made in Mexico I hope!..time will tell all...HH

Well,

Those of us who saw the machine can tell that it is build on same design with a little larger housing.

And it is not a Terra.

And they dont like to call it an explorer either, just as the SE was not called a version 3.

It looked like it had a lot more buttons...I also remember that it said the processor was much faster
for those of you who didnt see it, it has a usb interface so you can save/download programs, settings, updates, etc.

I noticed that it was published on a Russian site or was it just an unscrupulous dealer that published it before it was supposed to be released? Or has the whole thing been outsourced to Eastern Europe? :puke:

The SE was supposed to have a much faster processor and as far as I can tell there is a negligible difference over the XS. I hope they overhauled the software because it's lightyears behind where it could be. I offered to help redesign it years ago, but they didn't bite. The USB interface is a no-brainer and should have been on the SE. As for the rest of the incredible features, time will tell - I rushed out and bought the SE and should have stuck with my XS. In this economy I'm in no hurry to drop $2K or whatever it's going to cost unless the thing will give me more real proven depth. In the past 10 years there has been no real improvement in the Explorer line so maybe that's why this one is not called an Explorer.

I hope it all that we expect it to be.

I'll bet Putin had something to do with it! N/T
:goodnight::clapping:

I went on line and converted rubles to US $. Came out $1497 and some small change. That's a good jump and is it worth that much more in features that are useable and does it hunt better? Jim

Full details on the new E Trac and some video of it being used are due to be released on the 29th August on www.minelabowners.com & MLO TV
