putin made that one in georgia last week--now he wants a few more billioms from us to start the next one--:ranting::clapping:

You have to save them in any of the slots 1-6 and then recall them when u want them.

The one you last used will be loaded at startup..

Hope that helps.

The dealers are not given any prior notice either. I don't know of any detector company that gives an advance notice about a replacement model, they all upgrade about every 3 years..

You might be losing them by going back into factory presets before you turn off. If you turn your machine off while your in one of the saved patterns it should start off again in that saved pattern. Ive never used factory presets since learning the old XS so cant remember what its like now, lol.

And when your running a business such as theirs thats the way it has to be.

The Explorer SE was released worldwide without any advance problems such as has happened with the E trac launch. I was present when Desmond Dunne from Minelab Ireland released the SE to a Gobsmacked audience at the Minelabowners annual Corfe Castle Detecting Rally here in the UK. Gary Brun, Pat Watson and Gordon Heritage from our forum were the only ones who seemed to have been privy to the information other than minelab employees because they had been entrusted to make the Promo Videos for Minelab for the launch. Nobody else including detectorists in the States and Australia had an inkling it was coming out. The same should have happened with the E trac until some wise guys in Russia decided to try and release it early and jump the gun.
We all still have to be patient because Minelab are sticking to their plans of launching the new detector on Friday 29th. There will be videos and a presentation on our own www.mlotv.com which is available for anybody to view.
From the small pieces of information I have been able to take in this is going to be one hell of a detector. It was used secretly while filming at a rally last weekend in the UK and the guy found four medieval hammered coins with it without it really being set up properly. He commented afterwards that the recovery speed over the Explorers was awesome, :D

Personally I'd just like to know that the machine is set where I set it last time I used it. It would be handy to nail it with an upload before I left in case the kids were out in the back yard with it helping me with my adjustments... :)

Guvner..

Or better yet let the kids work out some programs on the PC .After all most teenagers are computer whizes and might unlock some hidden potential the Minelab engineers never dreamed of!!:throw:

I remember posting a longtime ago, when I first got on this forum, that Minelab should build a machine to be able to hook to computer and download upgrades and able to save programs etc...so we could send someone a program over the net...etc...etc...etc...blah,blah,blah....Hey! I guess they were listening to me....LOL.....I need to research the archieves and see just what I wrote and then compare them to the features of the new machine...Maybe I should get a cut in this deal!!!....LOL......I will be a buyer if it is better than any explorer..... I can bet ya!

After all I am a :minelab: dedicated user and believer and happy customer.

and you'd expect that to be the case here in Australia.....so guess what?

I'm told that I SHOULD be able to order one today and have one by Friday(tomorrow).

THAT would be REALLY sweet for me and anyone who wants one over here.

Can't wait to use this one of E-TRAC'S new features::bouncy:

Auto Latch (Semi-Automatic Discrimination Editing)
Within the Discrimination Menu, E-Trac has a brand new, very innovative feature called Auto Latch which
provides semi-automatic editing of your Discrimination Pattern. In this editing mode the Edit Frame will
automatically move to the Ferrous (FE) and Conductive (CO) coordinates of the detected target. You can
then choose to accept or reject that target from your Discrimination Pattern using the Accept/Reject
button found on E-Trac

Its old hat on some European machines. The Germans introduced it and the French went one better with both USB and infrared connectivity.

the only thing that's going to make a detector a "pro" model for me ESPECIALLY in my book........is one that I learn and know how to use proficiently as it can be.

That's ALL.
