Minelab Etrac Black Sand

Hello one and all I am Tom and I have a faithful etrac .I mostly hunt beaches. I would like to know what settings work best in the black sand .

Personally, I’d bring a good magnet and see if the “black” sand is actually sticking to it en-masse. If so, I’d also run Ground Difficult and Auto Sensitivity for stable operation but if your sensitivity number starts to slack into to 12 or lower range you’re running into some really tough conditions. Lastly I’d leave Deep and Fast off until you figure out what you’re dealing with.
