Welcome to Finds and to the PATH club forum. Are you from the Galesburg area? We get over that way from time to time from hunting to camping..... usually both at the same time.

There are still quite a few EX2 users who have learned their detector well and wouldn't think about moving up to the newer ones. That is still a nice machine today.

Hi Spincast and welcome to the forum. Congratulations on your new/used Explorer 2. Hopefully we'll all be out detecting soon.

i'm from pekin and hunt old churches and vacant houses and parks. theres a old church by me that i found several old silver coins at and a rouge pouch about 12 inches deep with a ads deepseeker awhile back . now that i have the explorer 2 when the weather breaks i will hunt it again i know theres still some good stuff there and want to hunt an old railroad station they moved in the 30s to pekin park... oh and in the rouge pouch there was a 1901 barber quarter and a 1917 and 1919 merc dime and a 1906 buffalo nickle .. must of been someones stash :)

You are closer than I guessed, hope you can make our next meeting later this month and share looks at our finds for the month. Unless it warms up some, there will be few finds to brag about but you never know.......

Larry's right, if you have the time and are interested in seeing what we are all about and meeting other local detectorists, then come and visit us at our next meeting. We would really enjoy meeting you and talking metal detecting. Oh yea, we do have several members from Pekin.

This months meeting is Wednesday, February 22, at the Peoria North Branch Library. We will meet in the Seminar Room. The meeting starts at 6:30 PM but a lot of us get there around 6:00 to chat.

sounds good.. if the weather permits and theres peace in the household i'll do my best to try and be there
