I have a stock double d coil on my explorer -SE . somewhere I heard that swapping ti out for a SE-PRO coil or a Excelerator 10x12 would be better. what do u thers out there think? whithout going to an Etrac?

Do you have the Pro Coil on your SE ? ...... I would say that that on my E Trac , the 10 x 12 coil is comparable to the Pro Coil .....Not a HUGE difference if any .... The Pro Coil picks up smaller objects .....Both great coils .... Jim

PRO-COIL. I had a 10X12 SEF and it was not even close. Now from reading different peoples comments on the SEF coils most like them very well. I either got a bad SEF 10X12 or I have a real good pro-coil. My Sun-Ray X-12 works better than both if there is not much trash but again JMHO. Good luck on your choice. HH :minelab:

I found the 11"pro and the 10x12 to be very similar, maybe the 11" is more sensible to smaller items and the 10x12 a pinch on depth but they are very equal, moving up to the 12x15 is another story, better all round and not as heavy as most make out
