Minelab has DISCONTINUED the EQUINOX 600 and 800 .....MANTICORE is on sale at $1299....Whats next for Minelab?

I see that Minelab has discontined the Equinox 600 and 800.
The Manticore has already been discounted down to $1299.
Whats Minelabs next move?
A big sale on the thousand dollar Equinox 900?
A new model that out performs the Manticore?
Anyone have details?

Objectively I’d say there was obviously product redundancy across the Equinox line. A waste of manufacturing resources. The NOX’s got the “improvements” incorporated in the 700/900’s that were asked for since it was first released. Dropping the 600/800 made sense and does not alienate those who still have them (me) as at least the coils and some other parts remain compatible with the 700/900. The price of the 900 isn’t justafiable IMHO.
I don’t know what ML is planning but the Manticore is still pretty new and the recent pricing of $1299. had me buy one. I really think there is so much “fat” in the pricing of all ML detectors that $1299. is more in line with the competition if not still more money. The Manticore and my D2 might turn out to be all I need, save for one or 2 PI’s I’ll still keep.

The new has wore off the Manticore pricing and the "fat" has came off as well. So what did you pay for your Deus? Seems to be a lot of "fat" involved there LOL

$799 for d2 with puck not bad considering it does the same on land as the more expensive model . Not $1299 like a manticore you have no choice on the manti . As far as dropping the 600 and 800 just dropping leakers lol .sube

Not where they were when they were introduced. I would prefer a complete machine. JMO
