Minelab Propointer test video.....

Notice how well it does, also notice at 3 or so minutes it starts getting real sensitive. Also any denomination bill in America is 6 inches long for the nay sayers.................

i think its worth the extra 40$-50$ great video!

Well to be honest I did not see anything there that would make me go out and buy one right away. I have been happy with my Garrett, now if the price was similar I might consider one but I would like to see a head against head test between the two.

Here is a test video on the Garrett. I am partial to Minelab products but I think the Pro Pointer is a great pin pointer.

I also have a Garrett Pro Pointer and LUV it

But the one thing I would replace is the button (which tends to get problems, mine has on two occasions from use)

I did read on this Forum that some are unhappy with the Minelab Pointer because it does not signal you as effectively as the Garrett

Generally my feelings are if it ain't broke......

It's a nice pinpointer. Does a great job for me. All three of my Garrett pinpointers had to be returned after they started acting up. Just a for what it's worth video.

I too have had to send in a couple of my Garretts, got them both back in less than a week ...great customer service. Like I said the Minelab looks nice but does cost more.

Comparison videos and hard numbers of the Minelab pin pointer to the Pro Pointer in the main forum...

One thing I dont understand is why the longer its on the more sensitive it has. Why is that?

My Garrett Pro Pointer works fine for me. I like that it pick things up 2 inchs away.

The both begin to drift off calibration, I guess due to the capacitors heating up from what I read a blurb about. Supposedly in cooler temps the drift takes longer.

Yeah, I use a Garrett PP as well. I am pretty happy with it. It does the job and no sense replacing something like that.
I just sent mine in for repair and it was fixed with no charge whatsoever under the warranty.
