Minelab Rapture

Suppose you woke up tomorrow morning to discover that all Minelab detectors including the factories vanished. Poof ! No more Minelabs....Forever !!
What detector would you want now?

I'd get a whites XLT.

Obviously if the best is gone then I'd have to go to the second best and my personal opinion would be a White's DFX 300 & Fischer F75 or 70 are pretty close considering on what you are looking for.

Not the deepest seeking MD but I had allot of fun with it and found tons of treasures Tesoro Golden Sabre 2

My trusty but not often-used-anymore Fisher CZ-5. I'd have to get an inline probe for it though as my X-1 has spoiled me beyond recovery. Pun intended.

With economy going like it is..Your question , or at least the factory part of it just might not be that far off.

Fisher F75 for me. Fast, fast response, plenty of depth, and iron doesn't bother it.

it's kinda' fond of a few deep rusty nails as well.:detecting: :crylol: :smoke:

What do you have for a :whites: machine Bryce?

If Minelabs were gone as that would take care of 2 of my detectors so I would have to use the next best which I feel is the F-75.

I believe that I would go back to the beginning, Metroteck 220-A. My first machine in 1968. I still have it and it works great to this day. HH...Jesse.

an xlpro which many people feel is one of the all time best analog machines. The ID on coins is dead on with that meter. It's also pretty deep and capable of hitting an 8" silver dime.

I let go a half dozen machines a little more than a year ago but still could make do with whats left, and have plenty of other hobbies - more then I have time for.

I'd pretty much give up on landhunting that's for sure. I suppose I'd get a CZ-20 or equivalent deep tone ID water detector and if I couldn't find that, maybe a Detectorpro diver.
