may/may not be a scam

Certainly we all have to be careful...Lets face it don't have to be an English Major to detect and we all don't have the abilities to take and post pictures..As always do be careful and especially in big bucks deals know and trust the seller...

If this is the same Tony from Trumbull, CT ---I sold him a machine in April 2008 and had no problems at all. Very nice guy

Hey Now...Can't we all just get along.?,,,its a fact that some of us were breast fed just a little longer than the others..(makes us more tollorant) HH...Tor

hey terry, yes it's tony. i still have the big bud i take it out from time to time stilll works great, i found a 1851 shield nikle at a park here intrumbull last year

good to hear from you terry

Sir If you found a "1851" shield nickel as you state....you could probably sell it for more than what GM and Crysler are going to get to bail them out.

Then you won't need to sell your minty se w/warty.:lmfao::rofl::lol::sad:

you are too funny, i noticed that there are alot of cruel people on this forum,
i have indeed found a shied nicle not worth much, you should get your facts straight,
thanks for the comment though :minelab:

Let's see a picture of this nickle..... BTW, Shield Nickles are 1866-1883 (Wants to talk about facts) :argue:

Let's say you may have misquoted the find......Lets get back on point... If someone wants the SE where do we send the payment?

Hey Tony,

What he is referring to is that they didn't start making shield nickels until 1866 so if you have an authentic one from 1851 it would have to be a as of yet unknown pattern piece and as such would probably be worth quite a bit of money. You sure it isn't some other date - even a 1881 is pretty rare as they only made 68,800 of them which wasn't very many by the standards of the day. A low grade 1881 would be worth somewhere in the neighborhood of $250.

Hello all, here is a recent pic of the detector, I removed it from the box for the photo, please email me with any interest, I accept paypal and certified us funds.
thanks again

Hello Steve, I took another look at the shield nickle under a loop and it is 1868 not 1861 sorry for the wrong info.
the minelab se detected it perfectly and it was pretty deep , is it worh anything
thanks steve

i wish I had the money, I would buy it :) Good luck to you tony and good luck to everyone else. Happy hunting!
