Minelab USA service center

akelley

New member
Attended my local metal detecting club meeting this evening, and a Whites dealer mentioned that Minelab's USA service center in Las Vegas had been closed. Does anyone have any information to confirm that?

Thanks

That White's dealer must be setting on a boatload of V3's he/she can't move!

Call a Minelab dealer to get the straight skinny.:)

Someone on a different forum said that no one was answering the phone today. I'm at work, so I can't try to call myself.

As a Minelab dealer nothing has been said about moving the service center out of Las Vegas or the main USA Office, but I wonder myself if Minelab may get a second service center or dist here in the USA to help with customer service as they do sell and service many Minelabs detectors. That is just my opinion if they start a center in Chicago .

It would be nice if they opened a second service center and putting another on the east coast would make sense. I wouldn't think with as many detectors as they sell in the U.S. they would want to shut down operations here. Unless it is a hard times economy thing . Hopefully, they won't shut it down

I was told the Headquarters was moving to Chicago, maybe a service center will stay in Las Vegas, who knows, but I understood the entire facility was closing and moving to Chicago. I also understand they are wanting to have 3 service/repair centers in the US. Who knows for sure, but it sounds like if this is the case they will have an excellent customer service program with 3 service centers.

Maybe this issue bear some of the weight from the trouble I am having with them. At this point in my adventure another minelab will not be in my future. I hope someone will build a machine as good as the excal.
