Mineralization Question

Heading out to West Texas in April and was going to do some hunting with the 3030 between Del Rio to Alpine. The soil there is quite different from the area I usually
detect in, which is normally Tennessee. It's mostly dry desert areas I will be hunting with sandy soils with some clay and gypsum. I was wondering
how you guys would set up the 3030 for this, or any unfamiliar type of soil. Is it as simple as a manual ground balance? Or do you change other settings
on the 3030 for this type of soil. I'm not a soil expert either, so what is the best way to find out what type of soil is in an area your not familiar with,
and do you see this as being a top priority of importance when you travel long distances to detect in unfamiliar soils. Any advise would be
greatly appreciated.

Zip.

You don't need to change anything from how you normally hunt, unless on the very odd chance you have the ground balance turned on, in which case turn it off.

Go to auto plus 3 let the ctx run for 2 minutes look at what #s it is giving you if your #s are high 23 to17 then you can probably push it to 26 in manual and not have it very sparky Those #s in the bottom of the screen tells you what the machine wants to run at , by looking at those #s you can tell when your over driving the machine.

Also the lower or higher the #s is telling you what the mineralization is .As for special patterns what ever works for you here will be better where your going than in Tennessee .
