Tried a new spot and found this Modern Woodsmen medal and a 1916 d wheat cent. We're going back.

Very interesting find! Looks like you found a great spot to hunt. Good luck on return hunts.
 
Did you look up history on the group? If it usually has an axe and yours doesn’t it may be rare or collectible! Id be headed back 15 minutes after I got home……😂

I'm not sure, it was gold plated and has some plating on back. I'm leaning toward a cuff link.
