More from City of Rocks

More photos from City of Rocks. An old ruin sitting on private property within the preserve. I can’t remember if there was any information on its history, but I found it to be interesting.

The second photo was an early morning shot as the sun was rising. The sunrises out here are stunning when the light hits the granite. Please click on the photos to get a better view. Zooming in once the photo is open also seems to help.

The 3rd photo was also taken around sunrise, and I decided to experiment with the fence post.

Hope you enjoy.

Back in the 1970's, a metal detectorist found buried saddlebags, at the base of Treasure Rock. They contained 12,000 in gold coins, as I understand the story. The stage robbery loot from a robbery near McCammon, Idaho.
