Had to go by boat to gain access to a civil war fort abandoned in 1875 and buried by lake in 1920.... Lake is low now so i visited the site... 1 rock/rubble foundation is all that remains...

A whole bunch of 1875 45-70 casings.... Horseshow pieces, leather rivets..... And, no pic, but a 3 ringer.....

A very successful 3 hours....
 
That's great to be able to take advantage of a window of opportunity like that. I hope you can go back more.
