multi fq on the 600 - 700

This has been brought up before… from my understanding, the 600 and 700 still utilize all of the frequencies while in multi frequency mode like the 800 and 900, but 20 and 40khz is only available to use as a single frequency on the 800 and 900.

That is what you meant.. all models use all the frequencies in multi frequency mode, but only the 800 and 900 can run the 20 and 40 as a single frequency.

So in other words The 600 an 800 runs the same FQs in multi, which is 4 5 10 15 ?
No.. I made a typo in my last post.
It should have read “ that is what I meant instead of “you”.
In multi frequency, the 600, 700, 800, and 900 are using 4,5,10,15,20, and 40khz.
The difference between the 600/700 from the 800/900 is that you do not not have the option of running 20 and 40khz on the 600/700, but you can on the 800/900.
In short, while running multi frequency, all of the models are the same and are using all of the frequencies.
Running in a single frequency is where they differ.

Thanks for the info. others say that the 800 an 900 uses all the fqs in multi. including 20 an 40.
The 800 and 900 ,the 20 and 40 kHz are not includead when using the multi mode ,that’s what’s minelab told me ,they are a separate function

The Equinox 600 3F×3 (Three Frequency Times Three) offers three single frequencies of 5, 10, and 15 kHz, giving a 3 times range or ratio from 5 to 15, hence the 3F×3 technology designation. However, both the Equinox 600 and Equinox 800 offer identical Multi-IQ modes covering the full frequency range. The Equinox 600 simply disallows direct access to the 20 khz and 40 kHz single frequency modes.

The same for the Equinox 700 and Equinox 900

I agree, I was not completely correct myself.
Whatever it is doing, in my opinion it does it well..
