Multi Kruzer Freq.

I know this is probably ask a few times in here but can"t seemed to find it.

I just got a Multi Kruzer and this is the first time I have had a choice of what Freq. to run.

On average what do you guys run the Kruzer in?

5,14,19?

Thanks for any input would be great.

The default is 14hz and that's all I'm running as I'm still learning it too. I can say that this detector kicks a$$ big time! I have found it to be faster and deeper than my MXT was. The battery life has been fantastic too and from what I've read, the battery drain is faster in the other 2 frequencies.

I hunt trashy parks and keep mine on 14kHz. I am happy with that. Seems to work well in 3 tone. Hits hard on good targets and trash sounds like trash. 4 tomes is too noisy in my trashy parks. 5kHz might be quieter but I have not given that a try.

5 for deep silver, 19 for hunting iron infest sites, 14 for most everything else.

On land - 19 with highest power that is stable - 4 if possible or 3 tones - then volume down the Iron tone 1/2 way

Yep same here.

I also use 19 kHz when I may be expecting some jewellery

I mostly hunt relic sites and demos with mine, and it pretty much stays on 19kHz. I love the 4-tone mode for relic hunting, yes it's hyperactive (nothing like the F75 though!), but it brings home the goods!

I was recently invited to hunt a demo site, and couldn't use the 4-tone mode due to EMI, but 3-tone @ 89 worked great. The MMK is a great detector IMO, one of the best I've used. Few design issues I'd love to see remedied, the pinpoint button is an abomination IMO (please Nokta, never, ever, implement a crappy pinpoint button  like this again, bring back the TRIGGER

After a number of outings, I totally agree with you on the pinpointer button! Totally frustrating. My Whites MXT has a trigger and I wish my MMK had the same thing.

Low conductors (gold) 19kHz
High conductors (silver) 5kHz
All round (relic)14kHz
Just my preference
