What are your thoughts on overly-intricate discrimination patterns reducing depth? Inversely, a much simplified disc. pattern resulting in increased depth. For example, Ive read a few times where an etrac user stated that when they switched to a different, "simpler" coin pattern, the coins sounded off "harder". i started off with the standard coin program this spring. i gradually "opened up" the disc. pattern over the summer. last weekend i really opened it up a lot more. basically everything from 27 and up is white/open and everything 28 or below is closed/black. i do think that coins seem to be hitting "harder" but im not sure if this is just my imagination or not. either way im happy with this set up, im now used to the cacophony of sounds flowing from the etrac, and i was wondering if anyone else had ever experienced anything like this. it doesnt seem to make common sense though.....but could it really be true?
