Shrooms are popping like crazy. Saw this one today, haven't seen one before. Any idea? JJ

I didn't harvest the rare midwestern binkybella however I did enjoy however I did enjoy this pheasant's back sautéed in butter and garlic over my lunch. Delish! JJ

I Soo wish I knew mushrooms better.
Foraged with Grandma for years.
Though she was deathly afraid of mushrooms.

I've picked up a few great books.
Though I'd prefer to learn hands on with someone.

I believe their coming in here.

I generally stick with the common stuff and don't chance it if I don't know. Morel's are safe, hollow means safe, not toxic lookalike. Pheasant Backs are everywhere and have no toxic lookalike. Hard part is to harvest them young while still fleshy. Can ID almost anything by taking a pic and doing a Google image search also if you have a data signal.
