My best silver to wheat ratio hunt EVER!

Today I went to my aunts house, did not really expect much it was built in 1948, small house, small yard. Did the front yard and got the silver war nickel a lil clad, no wheats....ODD.

Went to the side yard, got a couple clad dimes, and a merc, still no wheats, COOL!

onto the back yard I find the old french coin, at least I think it is. I thought it was a smooth token as it had no details. I had to really scrub it to be able to see anything. Still no wheats, I am loving this.....

other side yard had nothing, just junk....was about to leave then I noticed a small patch of grass on other side of the driveway where an old tree stump was, thought I better hit around that tree. First signal was a silver rosie, next signal another silver rosie, next signal another silver rosie.....this is sweet....next signal was a worn smooth merc...still no wheats....awesome. this is great! I get a silver quarter signal, dig down expecting a quarter and out pops this 830S silver pin, cool. Then I got a 6" deep penny signal....NO!!!! I wanted to skip it because I knew what it was, but I am digging ALL good signals, and it was a 1935 wheat, the one and ONLY wheat in this yard in over 3.5 hours of hunting.

So 6 silver coins, a silver pin, and only one wheat, my BEST silver to wheat ratio EVER. Took me to 51 silver coins for the year. This yard far surpassed any expectations I had for it!

I enjoyed reading your "account of the hunt" Terry. Must be nice to be able to hunt in the "POSH" neighborhood

Thanks for the awesome pictures too.
