My digger:goodnight:

This is the only digger I use. I tried many diggers before and was not happy.I went to Lowes and bought a small garden spade which I cut down to the shape I wanted.I welded major steel on the back for added strength..(You could open a safe with this baby,(Sorry Bob). Then I cut the handle down and taped it with elec. tape. It's easy to carry and you can push it into the ground with ease using your foot. I wouldn't leave home without it.GR

Looks like it would cut right through the ground in no time. Nice touch is that you can put a little bit of leg power with the foot lips if you hit difficult ground. The added steel on back for reinforcement is good idea too. Why didn't you put a foam cushion on handle instead of electrical tape, like the Raptor has?

It would seem to make it a less slippery surface for gripping especially in the warmer months when you're sweating and it might even make the handle less cold as opposed to the tape. Just my 2

Hi King,
The electrical tape just seemed the way to go. No splinters, can be redone easily, can be washed off,and it has a nice gripe.Kind of like a taped up baseball bat.GR...Thanks for the input.
