I went out about 6 times with the etrac actually hunting for stuff. I have had it for about a month now and went to about 15 different spots. This is the good stuff, I probably found $30 in quarters, $2 in nickles, $6 in dimes, and probably 100 pennies. I found another indian but I lost it somewhere at home. I know your not supposed to clean coins but I cleaned most of these, Some just with hot soapy water and a few got the brass brush taken to them. The value to me is just to have them and to enjoy them so there will be no future sales to worry about. The 8 sided coin is a chinese trigram charm of some kind, There is a Palmolive soap token, a 5 yen coin from 49-59, 3 nickles with Vs on them, two buffalos, two indian pennys, one gram 10K ring with aquamarine, silver class ring, fake gold plated class ring, dog tag, 3 religious charms, some german award or medal, two USA silver quarters, one canada silver quarter, one Merc dime, and 6 or 7 rosie silvers. The hardest thing for me to find is silver, I think I am missing somethin, I was told to mostly ignore the FE numbers and stick to tones and CO numbers, Ill give that a a shot. My name on this forum is Idprospector but on some others I use Idigid. Short for I Dig ID, as in Idaho. I would love to hear your tips and tricks on hunting with the etrac. Thanks. Idigid
Awesome finds. I'm like you - I'd rather clean them to enjoy them than worry about devaluing a few of them - although I would never use a brass brush (have gone through lots of toothbrushes though!)
Sweet silver more that I have found here.
