We're those finds with your pi. Or with the g2 if you don't mind me asking.. you always liked the 13 ultimate coil
I started with my F19 which is the same machine as my G2 but anyway I used both it & my GPX4500. I use the 15" attack coil when I can. All I cqn say is the GPX4500 doesn't play.

How much of a different level does the gpx bring.
Most of the time the ground i hunt is highly mineralized. A vlf detector is really limited in those soils. A pulse detector doesnt see mineralization. There's traid offs though. Like discrimination & target id. The pulse machines don't have a vdi or very good discrimination. My minelab GPX4500 does discriminate iron & tells you high condutors from low. It'll pull bullets out at a foot all day long whereas my vlf might get them at 6". 6" being fringe depth. But the vlf will shine in mild ground with deeper detection depth.

You are probably hunting fields so you have more mineralized ground. In the woods a 150 years of leaves falling makes the soil more ameneiable. Most stuff I find is 6 to 7 inches deep. Usually 3 to 4 bar on goldbug. . Thick gray stinking layer with matted roots . I guess alot below that I can't get to.
